Are you a local gaming or crafting group? You can reserve tables for your games, RPG sessions, or crafts. We have 5 available tables at any one time. Each table seats 8 comfortably or 10 if you get real cozy-like, but you can put as many chairs around it as you see fit. When you arrive for your session, come to BC Hobbies at least 10 minutes early and a staff member will take you to the Community Event Space (CES). At the end of your session, a staff member will come to check you out of the space and lock up. Gather your party and venture forth!
Single Table Booking
Booking a single table costs $10 for 2 hours. As we've got 5 tables, during this time, you may be sharing the CES with another booking party using a separate table.
Whole Room Booking
Booking the whole room costs $25 for 2 hours. You will have the entire CES to yourself!
What's Included
- Each table in the CES consists of 2 standard folding tables (72" x 30") put together, making them 72" x 60"
- Chairs are available in the space.
- A first aid kit is visibly located on the shelf.
- Any terrain pieces are available for use at your table.
- Colourful 4'x6' tabletop game mats.
- Wi-Fi may come in the future, for now guests are welcome to use the mall’s Wi-Fi.
-
Staff assistance. Staff will periodically check in on the space if in use, but will remain unobtrusive so as to not disturb any active sessions. If a staff member is required, please visit or call the store at 250-383-0051.
Airbrush Studio Booking
The CES has an enclosed airbrush studio. Guests are required to bring their own respirator and airbrush. You also may wish to bring your own compressor depending on preference, but the space has the following amenities:
- Neo Air Compressor (3 settings and auto-shutoff when it overheats)
- LED Equipped Spray Booth and Baffel Box*
- Parts Holders (Mr. Nekonote Base)
*Currently it isn't safe for solvent-based paints like Tamiya acrylics, enamels or lacquer. We're looking into this, but for time being only water-based acrylics like Vallejo, The Army Painter and ProAcryl are safe to spray due to the baffel box collecting the particulates. .
