High Performance HP-C Plus Gravity Feed Dual Action Airbrush

The Iwata High Performance (HP-C) Plus is a professional-quality dual-action gravity-feed airbrush designed for painters who want precise control without sacrificing the versatility needed for everyday airbrushing. Part of Iwata's long-running High Performance Plus Series, the HP-C Plus is capable of handling fine detail, controlled shading and general-purpose spraying from a single airbrush.

At the heart of the HP-C Plus is Iwata's H3 head system with a 0.3 mm needle and nozzle, providing a useful balance between fine control and paint flow. The 0.3 mm setup makes it particularly well suited to scale modelling, miniatures, illustration and other applications where smooth atomization and controlled paint placement are important.

Paint is supplied through an integrated 7 ml / 0.24 oz gravity-feed cup. Its generous capacity provides enough paint for larger sections of a project while remaining practical for colour mixing directly in the airbrush. Because it is gravity fed, the HP-C Plus can also operate efficiently with very small quantities of paint.

The dual-action main lever provides independent control over air and paint. Press down to start airflow, then pull back to gradually increase paint flow, giving the user precise control over line width and paint volume.

One of the HP-C Plus's most useful features is its cutaway pre-set handle. The rear adjustment allows you to limit how far the trigger can be pulled back, helping maintain a consistent maximum paint flow when repeating lines, shading or other controlled spraying techniques. The cutaway section also provides quick access to the needle chuck, making it easier to flush paint and clear minor blockages without removing the rear handle.

Iwata uses a spring-steel needle designed to resist breakage, along with solvent-resistant needle packing for compatibility with a wide range of properly prepared airbrush paints and cleaning products. The precision screw-on nozzle is part of Iwata's H3 head system and is designed to provide consistent alignment and atomization.

Iwata recommends an optimal working pressure of approximately 15–25 PSI, making the HP-C Plus suitable for the pressure ranges commonly used in scale modelling and hobby airbrushing.
